I had rewards points and bought this knife to evaluate the quality Off-Grid Knives. There were two versions of this knife at the time, and I chose the model with D2 steel since it was significantly cheaper than the version with 154CM steel. I must say I did not expect it to be this nice, especially for the price. The knife feels solid, and it has a thick blade. I also like the shape of the blade, which they call reverse tanto. The blade easily comes out with a flick of the index finger and locks into place with no play or wobble. I gave the backside of the blade several whacks, but the liner lock kept it secure. I do not know what it would take to make the blade unintentionally close.I have small to medium hands and the knife handle is a great fit. When grasping the knife, the index finger fits in a curved section of the body with the flicker acting as a guard against sliding up onto the blade. The blade also has a good amount of jimping. My thumb just navigates to it and my grip on the knife feels secure and comfortable. The grip texture of this knife may not be popular with everyone because it is a very sharp diamond pattern. This grip would probably be well suited for wet hands, but I could see it wearing out pockets after a bit of time. I decided to take the knife apart and give the grips a bit of a sanding. There is still a good amount of texture remaining, but with less bite to it. I did discover one of the screws holding the plastic grip to the metal body was a little loose from the factory, so I'm glad I caught it. As with any equipment, it is good to check things when you first receive it and when giving it a cleaning. The final thing for me was the weight of the knife. It is not so light you wonder about the quality of the materials, but not so heavy it will pull down casual shorts in the summer. I consider it a perfect weight for an everyday carry knife.Awesome well made knife sturdy as heck and awesome grip tooSmooth action just buy it..Everything is/was great. Only wish there was a thumbstud, hole or fuller so i could reverse flick it...other than that its 11/10I'm x military and have used a lot of knives, I'd rank this one in the top 3. its awesome! will soon have a review at xtreme survival team on YouTube. for the price u can't go wrong....Like everything about this knife except the liner lock doesn’t stick up enough to give my thumb solid purchase. Pretty requires 2nd more ‘dedicated’ effort to release the blade.Pros:Size is perfect, blade and handle.Blade feels solid. No play.Very smooth swing out.Finger-flick only design is non-nonsense and works.Grip is next to none.Color/Material/Finish is very nice.Excellent valueCons:Too much grip on the clip side ( I know they can't necessarily provide two sets of scales or bias toward right-handed users). Grip prevents smooth entry/exit from pocket whilst simultaneously shredding your pocket with the file-like grip. I Dremeled and filed it down to be smooth. Fixed. The clip is a bit small on the upward turned end of the clip. Bent a bit more for easing into pocket over seams.Bonus:A glass-breaker, like on the full sized version. would be a nice addition. Not a Deal Breaker though (pun intended).Heavy duty fast opening flipper.Perfect EDC
